Dear Members,

Perhaps the biggest news for our Delta - Richmond East EDA was Prime Minister Stephen Harper's announcement of a Judicial Enquiry into the management of the Fraser River sockeye fishery. We thank the Prime Minister for making this enquiry happen, and congratulate our M.P., John Cummins, for his perseverance on this very important local environmental issue. As John said, “Fraser sockeye must not be allowed to go the way of the Atlantic cod."

Your Board of Directors is planning to hold our 2010 Ammual General Meeting in March (date and details TBA). Any member in good standing is eligible to seek election to the Board. If you are interested in helping YOUR Association in this way, please contact us.
