  Kerry-Lynne is a distinguished lawyer and community leader. She has practiced law in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland most of her life, representing clients at every level of court including the Supreme Court of Canada.  
  Her public service includes working with John Cummins, M.P., on fisheries and native land management issues. She served on the Vancouver City Planning Commission, and was elected as its Chair in 1987. She has appeared before both the House of Commons and Senate Committees on Aboriginal Affairs.  
  Kerry-Lynne has also been very active in the Canadian Bar Association. She was founding Chair of the BC Women Lawyers Forum and the National Women Lawyers Forum, Chair of the Constitutional Law Section and a member of the National Task Force on Court Reform. In 1997-98, she served as President for BC of the Canadian Bar Association.  
  Her work has been recognized with an appointment as a Queen’s Counsel and awards such as being named a YWCA Woman of Distinction.  
  Other community involvement includes co-hosting, with Alice Wong, Chinese Lunar Dinners in Richmond for many years. She is the Honorary Legal Counsel for the Chinese Benevolent Association, and has served on the board of Science World and the Federation of Junior Leagues of Canada.  
  She was born in British Columbia and has lived there all her life. Kerry-Lynne is married to Brent Chapman, and has four children.
